Steering Group

The Steering Group represents all the major stakeholders of the project.
Its role is at the strategic level, to ensure the project delivers on it aims and objectives, meets the needs of the stakeholders and community groups appropriately.
The Steering Group would need to assess and approve any major deviations from the agreed project aims and negotiate those with the funders.
Terms of Reference:
- to oversee the project and monitor progress against agreed milestones
- to ensure that the project meets the (agreed) needs of the relevant stakeholders
- to raise awareness of the project
- to receive/assess feedback (e.g., online questionnaires)
- to receive reports from the Executive Group
Deliverables:
- collections catalogued to recognised national and international standards onto approved software
- design and creation of project website to interpret collections for target audiences and enable catalogues to be searched simultaneously
- promote collections via outreach and publicity events and activities
- ensure participation with project, for example, volunteers, teachers, school children, under-represented
