This is a resource using original historical documents and objects as an educational resource for children, teachers and adults. Here you will also find a guide to using archives, a catalogue of all the partners collections and more information on the Heritage Builds Bridges Project.
|Here you can access the schools programmes: resources for children and teachers on Victorian Childhood (Key Stage 2) and Trade, Industry and Empire 1750-1900 (Key Stage 3). There is also a section on the Second World War (Key Stage 2 and 3).
This section is complemented by 'worksheets' and 'teachers resources' which can be downloaded and printed for use in the classroom or at home.
Using Archives gives a guide for Adults to the kinds of records the local history researcher may find useful.
|The Catalogue allows you to search the project partners' archive and museum holdings.|
|Heritage Builds Bridges gives access to pages about the project, the main partners, their collections and links to other related websites. Also included, is information about how to get copies of photographs and archive material and what research services are available.|
